Are We Settling for Less?

We as sons and daughters of our Father have a Destiny.

Gen. 1:26 Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over,,

Gen. 1:27 God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.

Jer. 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

Eph. 1:11 Also we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to His purpose who works all things after the counsel of His will.

Rom. 8:29 For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren.

God desires to give us a destiny and then He empowers us to fulfill our destiny and purpose. We have a hope, an expected end, a destiny. God is calling us to act on the the spirit of Christ in us, to take our land and possess it as Joshua and Caleb had.

Num. 14:24 But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring into the land;
How did Caleb follow God fully?
He did so by, believing God and acting on that belief.
Faith and Obedience

Num. 13:30 And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it for we are well able to overcome it.

We need to realize that the spirit that dwelt in Joshua and Caleb dwells in us enabling us to be "well able to take our land"

Col. 1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Christ dwells in us, therefore all power in heaven dwells in us, enabling us, to go up and take our land.
We need to know who we are and what we are capable of.
We need to ask of God to open our eyes and show us His destiny or purpose for us.
We should be walking in power because of the spirit of Christ which is in us.

John 14:12 Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also and greater works than these he will do because I go to the Father.

But we do have an adversary who wants to keep us from entering our destiny.

Dan. 7:25 He will speak out against the Most High and wear down the saints of the Highest One,

John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy, I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.

Sometimes we are wore down to the point of saying "what's the use, I get up only to be knock down again".

The children of Israel were right at the place of entering their land yet the enemy kept them from receiving their promise and destiny. All they could see was that they in there own strength were unable to take the land.
From the time they left Egypt the enemy was planing their demise. "It would be better if we would have stayed in Egypt" "we will die in this wilderness" "we have nothing to eat" "the giants are in the land" "we thirst" "We are not able" "We are as grasshoppers"

When the children of Israel were to go and take the promise land, they did not know who they were. They saw themselves as having no hope. Unable to do that which was being asked of them.

The enemy stole their destiny. We can do the same thing and allow the enemy to steal our destiny. We end up settling for something less than our inheritance. We become discourage and stop trying to enter our destiny or purpose. We find ourselves saying " I'll never make it" " I can't do it" " I am worthless" "What's wrong with me" etc.

Sound familiar?

We need to stay the course, believe God's promises concerning us and have endurance.

Luke 21:19 By your endurance you will gain your lives.

Heb. 10:36 For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised.

1. We need to search the scripture's to see who God say's we are.
2. Seek His plan for us and trust Him to give us the victory.

Because it's Christ dwelling in us that gives us the victory. He, by His power enables us to enter our destiny.
