Your Way Oh God is Holy
Psalm 77:13-14, 19
What does it mean to say our God's ways are Holy?
If His ways are not our ways and are higher then our ways, the question needs to be asked, what are His ways? And why are they Holy?
Holy can mean - divine, sacred, sanctified, consecrated, set apart
But what about in psalms where it says "His ways are Holy?"
Verse 19 say's His ways are in the sea, mighty waters and cannot be understood. Is it a scary way?
When the children of Israel were stepping into the unknown by leaving egypt following a pillar of fire and smoke, were they walking in His Holy ways?
Abraham went out not knowing where he was going trusting God. And God called Him the friend of God. Is it walking in the unknown?
Could it be there is a place of trust and rest in God that we are to walk in, and as a result God would be honored, exalted and it would Holy unto Him, because He receives all Glory?
To walk in His ways which are Holy is to walk not in our own understanding. That is why God dealt so harshly with the children of Israel when they murmured and complained because what God was doing was Holy in their midst by leading them in His ways and paths.
Exodus 3:5 say's "Do not come near here; remove your sandals from your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground."
The sandals in a way represented mans own protection from the hot sand. And mans ability to walk a path. By taken off his sandals it was an acknowledgment of submission and reverence that Gods paths are right and true and Holy.

Is. 30:9-21
For this is a rebellious people, false sons,
Sons who refuse to listen
To the instruction of the LORD;
Who say to the seers, "You must not see visions";
And to the prophets, "You must not prophesy to us what is right,
Speak to us pleasant words,
Prophesy illusions.
"Get out of the way, turn aside from the path,
Let us hear no more about the Holy One of Israel."
Therefore thus says the Holy One of Israel,
"Since you have rejected this word
And have put your trust in oppression and guile, and have relied on them,
Therefore this iniquity will be to you
Like a breach about to fall,
A bulge in a high wall,
Whose collapse comes suddenly in an instant,
Whose collapse is like the smashing of a potter's jar,
So ruthlessly shattered
That a sherd will not be found among its pieces
To take fire from a hearth
Or to scoop water from a cistern."
For thus the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel, has said,
"In repentance and rest you will be saved,
In quietness and trust is your strength."
But you were not willing,
And you said, "No, for we will flee on horses," (Our flesh)
Therefore you shall flee!
"And we will ride on swift horses,"
3
Therefore those who pursue you shall be swift.
One thousand will flee at the threat of one man;
You will flee at the threat of five,
Until you are left as a flag on a mountain top
And as a signal on a hill.
Therefore the LORD longs to be gracious to you,
And therefore He waits on high to have compassion on you.
For the LORD is a God of justice;
How blessed are all those who long for Him.
O people in Zion, inhabitant in Jerusalem, you will weep no longer. He will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry; when He hears it, He will answer you.
Although the Lord has given you bread of privation and water of oppression, He, your Teacher will no longer hide Himself, but your eyes will behold your Teacher.
Your ears will hear a word behind you, "This is the way, walk in it," whenever you turn to the right or to the left.
Will we surrender and walk in His ways?
Psalms 77: 16-19 speaks of His ways in the storms which can be frightening and every thing in us wants to turn away to another path.
vrs. 14-15 say's He works wonders, he makes His strength know, by His power He will redeem.
This is "His ways" walking through the storms of life where He can lead a people through by His strength, redeeming and working wonders. Where He is Glorified and Exalted.
4
His ways become Holy because we have put off our sandals of flesh and self efforts and prostrated ourselves voluntarily before the Most High acknowledging we will walk in His ways though the storms of life rage or we are led into unfamiliar areas.
Storms and areas where we are not in control are places we resist do we not?
Part of our picking up our cross and dying daily is to stop resisting "His ways" in our lives which will stretch and mature us if we will allow Him.
We so easily resist "His ways" and by murmuring and complaining which is really a lack of trust we will reveal our unbelief and doubt.
By relinquishing the reigns of our heart to Him we enter into His rest, provision and care.
He can do so much better a job then us when it comes to our welfare. Should we not trust Him fully?
Our times are in His hands, it does not say some of our times are and some are subject to the world or the devil.
Our times are, my life, my family, my finances, my very breath are in His capable hands then I should not resist His ways. Right?
Holiness is allowing God to be set aside as the one and only source of trust and worship in our hearts. And walking in obedience, trusting our lives to God.
