OUR PHILOSOPHY:
Jesus' life, death, and resurrection constitute his Gift of Salvation for us. Our response to the poor should be no less than a wholehearted thanksgiving for His most precious Gift. Helping the poor is more than undeserved kindness; it is our obligation. Love demands it. Jesus cries out for it.
"Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate them one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats, and he will place the sheep at his fight hand, but the goats at the left. Then the King will say to those at his right hand, 'Come, 0 blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I-was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.' Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when did we see thee hungry and feed thee, or thirsty and give thee drink? And when did we see thee a stranger and welcome thee, or naked and clothe thee? And when did we see thee sick or in prison and visit thee?' And the King will answer them, "Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brethren, you did it to
me.'
(Matt 25:32-40)."
Friends of Jesus International inc.
seeks to reach out, warmly welcome, and
help persons- that is, brothers and sisters of
our common humanity- who suffer the
hardships of economic deprivation, often
times through no fault of their own.
Rev. Wesley Finch, Founder and director of
Friends of Jesus International Inc. "... knew
there were workers at these temporary
agencies who had nothing to eat at their
lunch break ... these guys are willing to
work, and a lot of them don't have lunches!"
OUR PURPOSE:
To help both locally and nationally homeless
nevertheless deserving laborers who work at
meager wages and in below poverty line
jobs typically on a daily (temporary) thus
uncertain basis- literally, from day to day.
This is accomplished through prayer and
several outreach ministries right here in
Brevard County. Furthermore, opportunities
for spreading the Good News of Jesus Christ
continually occur in the one on one prayer
and counsel sessions undertaken with our
recipients.
SANDWICH MINISTRY:
Through the efforts of this vital ministry,
temporary workers receive their most basic
requirements for nourishment so that they
may focus on the job at hand; 'This ministry
requires: volunteers to help prepare and
distribute sack lunches, donations to cover
the cost of the lunches, and prayer for the
men and women who utilize this service.'
WORK BOOTS MINISTRY:
Workers who are in dire need of foot gear
for their jobs especially benefit from this
service.
CLOTHING MINISTRY:
The following items are continually sought
to satisfy basic clothing and hygiene
requirements: jackets, sweaters, shirts, jeans,
slacks, skirts, diapers, baby lotions, etc ...
FOOD PANTRY MINISTRY:
These items fulfill elementary food needs:
non-perishable items such as: canned
vegetables, canned soups, etc ... with a valid
expiration date.
SCHOOL MINISTRY:
This is a crucial ministry for the children of
workers. Items such as pencils, crayons,
back packs, spiral notebooks are gifts which
alleviate workers' costs in ensuring their
children's education.
"If you believe" these are worthwhile
ministries and would like to either give a
financial contribution or, better yet,
become a partner in helping others in
their time of need, please contact:
