Melissa Quinn Update
We just received a phone call from Jenny and Rev Taylor to say Melissa is an hour into her journey from London to Rwanda, via Kenya. From all accounts they had a spectacular time together and Jenny said it felt as if she was saying goodbye to her daughter at the airport. They picked her up easily on Tuesday morning and did a mini tour of the English countryside along the Thames river, had lunch overlooking it, visited St Mary's where Roy and I were Youth leaders eons ago. After dinner ... More »

The Wedding
Dear Friends and Family, Wedding The knot is tied. A three strand cord is not easily broken. On June 21st, Allison and I were married with many friends and family members present to witness it and to celebrate it with us. How can words describe the joy and gratefulness that we felt for all that our Father in heaven has done for us, to lead us to that day and this life together. Many times throughout the wedding weekend, Allison and I and others were overwhelmed with tears at the goodness ... More »

Would you pray with us for,,,,,,
Dear praying friends, As you know, our son, David teaches English in China at a university. This summer he decided to move to another city and easily got a job with a university in Baotou, the hometown of his girlfriend, Alex. They have both moved there now and Alex is having difficulty, as a new university graduate, in finding a job. That's a prayer item, but the one I'm writing about today is for David's visa. Each year his university has been able to get his visa for him. But this ... More »

We have all read the verse, "this is the way, walk ye in it..
Dear Partners, We have all read the verse, "this is the way, walk ye in it.. I have read it many times, especially since Floyd was called home almost 4 years ago. God always walks with me but the past two months its been a roller coaster ride! Jordan went to Florida for the summer, but changed his mind and came back in June. For 5 weeks I was alone, except for the visit of "The Advent" a Christian Rock Band. They were here a couple of days just before the return of Jordan and his Florida ... More »

Wedding Preparations
Dear Friends and Family, Wedding Preparations Allison and I are daily growing in joyful anticipation for our wedding day (June 21st). Allison is in Minnesota planning and preparing for this big celebration of God's love who has brought us together. Please ask the Father for his provision and direction in making our wedding a reflection of the glorious wedding of the Lamb (See the book of Revelation 19:7). Pray also for our time apart, as I continue in Honduras until the end of ... More »

I want the Lord's direction, even if it is staying home
Dear Friends, My doctor told me to get a bone density test and to go back to church! My niece and I went to SS, church and lunch. I did quite well. (The test came out ok) The following Wednesday I joined a friend to visit a dear lady in a nursing home. She was so glad to see us and the Don Juan roses I took her from our yard. So I told the Lord, "this is great! I am back in circulation and can be a part of the world outside my home." Wasn't what He had in mind! An infection I had been ... More »

Shalom, shalom!
Shalom, shalom! Wow, it has been a long time since we have been in touch. I must say, since I have been in touch since I am the English writer in the family. So now you are getting inundated with emails from us. Barr, our baby is now 6 months, hard to believe. I have all the best intentions of writing but then I usually am trying to clean the house until the wee hours of the morning (that is pretty sad since we live in a tiny trailer home) or I am falling asleep in the chair after the ... Apologies for the delay in writing,
Dear Friends, Apologies for the delay in writing. I had a computer problem that could not get fixed until today. Linda's surgery Friday went well, although they did have to call in another surgeon for one piece of the job. She had two rough days Saturday and Sunday with pain and nausea. Finally the doctors got their heads together and figured out a different set of medicines to help with pain, nausea and together with the antibiotic she has to continue with until she leaves the hospital. ... Wycliffe colleague in the nearby hospital,
Over the last several weeks I have been frequently visiting and praying with a Wycliffe colleague in the nearby hospital. Her name is Linda and she works in Indonesia. Her home country is El Salvador. In January she had back surgery due to a herniated disk. After she finally returned to Indonesia her pain only increased so she came back to the hospital here. The doctors discovered an infection of a bacteria that is resistant to all but two antibiotics. She's been on intravenous ... More »

Honduras Update
Dear Friends and Family, Wheaton College Honduras Project Back in the 80's (that sounds like a long time ago but it seems like yesterday) as a student at Wheaton College, I was involved in a student initiated, organized and led mission trip which eventually led my brother Jonathan and his wife Valerie and myself to Jack Dyer and Honduras. And this year, like most years, Gustavo Lepe and I joined the Wheaton College Honduras Project as a translators, speakers and advisors. For ten ... More »

Here in Singapore
Dear Friends, Here in Singapore, Good Friday is a national holiday, so we had a very good turn out for our Good Friday services. Then on Resurrection Sunday we saw another very good turn out and the music in both services was very special. The offeratory of "Christ the Lord is Risen Today" by piano, violyn and a traditional Chinese stringed instrument with a contralto 'voice' was stunningly inspiring. The Lord is Risen--He is risen indeed!! May His resurrection life fill ... More »

I am alive here in Romania!
Hello Friends! I am alive here in Romania! Tonight is the banquet for the maternity home. It is crazy that it's already here! Normally this banquet is a report on the ministry but because there isn't a home to report on we had to REALLY seek God on what we should do.....Not that we don't seek God = ) We felt like this year it was suppose to have a theme of how valuable LIFE is. If people understand that their view is changed about abortion. We could REALLY use your prayers as Kathy (the ... More »

I appreciate all your concerns, prayers and financial support. As partners' circumstance change, and some are called to Heaven many are not able to stay with me financially. But I trust the much needed prayers are still there. And I do thank those of you who can help with the financial support and keep me living in my home. More »
