The Tabernacle Community

Some of you know about this and some don't, but here goes. I had a little spell (I thought) in Ft. Myers a couple of weeks ago. Valerie was driving and suddenly my eyes got blurry and I had a slight pain in my forehead. As suddenly as it came it stopped. I have had no more symptoms. Valerie wanted me to go the next day to Susanne, (my neice) who runs the local clinic in town and have my blood pressure checked. I have been treated for high blood pressure since I was in Melbourne. So I went and she checked it and it was fine, but she wanted me to go have some tests run in Clewiston at the hospital because she thought I might have had a mini stroke. So she set up the tests and I went to have them done. She conferred with my Dr. there, Dr. Forbes and he wanted me to come to his office and see a cardiologist who comes to Clewiston every Tuesday from Miami. So I did and she wanted me to go down to Miami and have some other tests run at her office, so I did. Just about two hours ago Jim Forbes called me, he had talked to the cardiologist and she had said the tests revealed that I have diseased heart valves and possibly diseased arteries. I asked him what that meant and he said that my heart wasn't getting enough blood to pump. I have another appointment with her, Dr. Levine, Tuesday afternoon in Clewiston. Dr. Forbes told me she wanted to do a heart catherization, which I'm sure will be done back down in Miami. Miami is certainly way down on my list for places to go but Jim Forbes said that it was the best place to go in this part of the state. Any way I'll be going to see her in Clewiston Tuesday afternoon and find out what is to be done. That's the story, as much as I know. Will let you know what treatment she recommends for me and I sure covet everyone prayers.
