Hi, family and friends,
I had send an email Saturday with an update but had a little sign-in clitch just before sending and judging by a few e-mails form
some of you, it never went thru - Sorry,
Our appointment with the Doctor in Albany went so well we cancelled
the one for the next with a differnet Dr. in a different town.
We felt the Lord directed us to this Gyn.-Oncologist. All our concerns were addressed, all questions answered, I feel comfortable
with him, and Bob liked his 'bedside manner'.
The surgery is scheduled for Sept. 26th. A Cat Scan yesterday
was the only other test to be done. The surgery will be "roboscopic"
meaning laparoscopic with the use of a robot, that would handle
the scopes for lights and camera, "to free up my hands and the hands of my assistant, a total of 8 hands will be working on you"
the Dr.'s explanation. Without any complications the hospital stay is ONE night and recovery of 3 weeks!!!
Sooo, that means my flight to Germany to see my sister Heide (and
my brothers) scheduled for the 29th, tomorrow, till Sept 18th is still a go as well as Bob's trip to Florida, Sep 2 - 10.
I am still in my 'bubble of grace' and praise God for it and for
you for praying, we are so blessed!!
Bob send his love and gratitude - he is just about back to notmal. He is playing raquetball again -slow- and it just about killed him not to go after some shots. That competitive streak kicking back in. He is a man without 'gall' now, we were told by his brother-in-law Gary.
